Quick Korean Beef and Noodles
At least once a week I find myself wondering what to make for dinner and unfortunately I'm thinking about it at 4:30pm! Here's a quick recipe that you can make with items you probably have on hand. It's flavorful and you can easily swap out the noodles for rice or use the meat in lettuce wraps. So many possibilities, I hope you like it.
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 Tbsp. sesame oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tsp. fresh grated ginger
1 tsp. (or more) Chili Garlic Sauce
Black pepper to taste
1 lb. cooked noodles (lo mein, spaghetti, egg noodles, choose your favorite)
5 green onions, sliced
Method
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and swirl in the sesame oil. Brown the beef along with the garlic. Drain the fat and add the brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger and chili sauce. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring often. Add black pepper to taste. Place the mixture on top of your favorite noodles (or rice) and top with sliced green onions. Enjoy!
